We care deeply about running Foundation Rwanda as an open and efficient organization. Foundation Rwanda has offices in New York City and Los Angeles and a program manager in Rwanda. (Office space is very generously donated by Getty Images). In order to achieve our goal of minimum overhead and maximum funds going toward our programs, we have formed strong partnerships with 5 local NGOs in Rwanda (Survivors Fund, AVEGA, Ibuka, Kanyarwanda and Solaces Ministries) with the goal to grow the capacity of local organizations as well as to understand local sensitivities regarding the stigma of rape and HIV and the longterm consequences of sexual violence and genocide that our beneficiaries deal with on a daily basis.
